वर्ष 2015 में उत्तराखंड ग्रामीण बैंक में कार्यरत हमारे कुछ साथियों सर्व श्री दीपक कोहली,संदीप कुकरेती, अजय शर्मा ,पंकज नरूला ,प्रवीण गोयल ,नंदकिशोर नौटियाल,प्रवेश नौटियाल व् श्री राजेंद्र कुमार को उत्तराखंड ग्रामीण बैंक में कार्यरत स्टाफ ,रिटायर्ड स्टाफ व् उनके उनके पारिवारिक सदस्यों को विभिन्न संस्थानों यथा होटल, रेस्टोरेंट, हॉस्पिटल, पैथलब, केमिस्ट आदि द्वारा प्रदान की जाने वाली सुविधाओं/उत्पादों में अधिकतम डिस्काउंट उपलब्ध कराये जाने के उद्देश्य से एक Non profitable सोसाइटी गठित किये जाने का विचार आया |
इस हेतु इन साथियों द्वारा अपने अथक प्रयासों के पश्चात अप्रैल 2016 में “यूजीबी फ़ैमिली वेलफ़ेयर सोसाइटी” का गठन (पंजीकरण संख्या-02/2016-17) किया गया ,ताकि सोसाइटी के माध्यम से अपने बैंक कर्मियों एवं उनके पारिवारिक सदस्यो को उच्त्तम सुविधाएँ न्यूनतम दरों पर प्रदान की जा सकें |
