PRIVACY POLICY

1. The Purposes of UGB Family Welfare Society, Dehradun is fully charitable as per Section 1 and 20 of Societies Registration Act 1860 and are unprofessional. The work of the society will be public and all benevolent.

2. The primary objective of the formation of the society is to provide help in availing different services on discounted rates through various tie ups with different Hospitals, diagnostic centers, path labs, Hotels, Restaurants, educational institutes, shops, chemists etc. to bank employees (currently working or retired, all subordinate staff to the senior most officers) of Uttarakhand Gramin Bank (including erstwhile RRB’s) or their dependent family members /known friends and relatives.

3. The objective of the society is only to provide facilities to the members at concessional rates. The Society is not liable to pay any kind of bills/dues of the member or his/her sub members or their dependents or known friends and relative’s bill in lieu of service to any establishment/institution.

4. The Society will not be responsible for any deficiency in service caused by any negligence/ laxity in service by any establishment/institution having contract/tie up with the Society. A written complaint can be made by the member to the society so that in future no agreement/tie up is made with such institutions. But if any kind of lawsuit etc. is made in such cases, then the society will not be included as any party.

5. Other objectives of the society are efforts for the economic/social/moral/ spiritual/cultural/character development of the members, to encourage the talented children of the members by rewarding them, to work for the upliftment of the society, to establish a reading room for the promotion of education and operation, to help in environment, disaster and health management and cooperation in government works, etc.

6. Being an employee of UttarakhandGramin Bank (present / retired) or being staff deputed from erstwhile sponsor banks is a mandatory qualification for the primary membership of the society. In this the erstwhile AlaknandaGramin Bank, Ganga Yamuna Gramin Bank, PithoragarhKshetriyaGramin Bank, Uttaranchal Gramin Bank and Nainital Almora Regional Rural Bank are self-contained.

7. Such employees of the bank who have resigned from the service of the bank can also become its member.

8. There is an entry fee of Rs 500/- for the primary membership of the society. Apart from this, it will also be necessary to contribute Rs 600 / - annually or Rs 50 / - monthly by the primary member (as decided by society). presently Annual fees is Rs 800/-. The system of quarterly or non-annual contribution is not applicable at present.

9. In future, the member will be informed about a reasonable increase in the monthly or annual fee to be charged by the society one month in advance. The decision in this regard will be taken only through the general body meeting. If any member finds the fee excessive, he can himself resign from the primary membership of the society. Fee once deposited (monthly/annually) will not be refunded in such cases.

10. If primary member resigns from the primary membership of the society for any reason or the membership of primary member is cancelled by the society due to nonpayment of dues or any other reason, all sub membership of primary member will be automatically cancelled. In these case, primary member is bound to return all cards issued to primary member as well as all sub members to society immediately.

11. The primary membership of the UGB Family Welfare Society can be terminated if the member is insane, on being punished by the court, on insolvency, for non-payment of membership fee or for committing an anti-establishment act or any other activity deemed to be against the interest of UGB Family Welfare Society or any of its members. In this context the decision taken by Society's Executive Committee will be final and in such a case no proceedings of debate or trial etc. will be taken in the court.

12. No membership fee or annual subscription fee is to be paid by primary memberfor his/her sub-member of the UGB Family Welfare Society.

13. Rs 60/- per card (Presently Rs 100/-) will be charged one time for each sub member till the card issued by society is "Active".

14. Rs 60/- per card or actual expenses (Presently Rs 100/-) will be borne by primary member for issuing duplicate card.

15. It is the responsibility of the primary member to give the correct details of the information of the dependent members/known relatives of the family as society will issue cards on the basis of information provided by the primary member.

16. The primary member will be responsible for any kind of error in the information provided by him/her to the society.

17. Primary member can request for any change/add/delete/amend the details/information of self or sub members. However primary member will be held sole responsible for this change/upload.

18. Primary member on behalf of his/her sub members agrees & give consent to share/use phone number/email/photo/or any other information of primary member or his/her sub members for website/app of UGB family welfare society or the service providers for communication or messages.

19. As the society will issue cards on behalf of information provided by primary member ONLY hence the primary member will be held sole responsible for any misuse of cards issued by society or any misconduct by him/her or their sub members.

20. If the primary membership is terminated due to any reason other than death, the sub-membership will automatically terminate.b

21. Distinguished persons from different fields, whose guidance is necessary for the organization, can be nominated from time to time by the governing body of the society and such members will be classified as special members if approved by the general body. No fee is to be paid by the distinguished member.
